Habitat project looking for furniture industry volunteers

HIGH POINT – Can you handle a hammer? Brandish a brush?

Then your skills are needed to help give one deserving High Point family a home. Beginning March 27, Habitat for Humanity, Progressive Business Media and High Point Market Authority will begin building a new home as part of an educational and philanthropic effort to unleash the power of the home furnishings industry for a worthy cause.

The home, which will ultimately be provided to a local High Point family as part of Habitat for Humanity’s program in the High Point, Archdale and Trinity area, will serve as an educational exhibit at the upcoming High Point Market, reflecting the future of home design and home furnishings.

Volunteers are needed to help build the home, an effort that begins March 27 in the Habitat ReStore parking lot in downtown High Point.

The architectural firm of BSB Design and interior design firm Barbour Spangle have donated their time and services to creating a home that will both reflect the future direction of home design and home furnishings, while also providing a nurturing environment for its eventual owners.

Anyone wishing to participate can register HERE. Information on sponsoring or providing products for the home can be found at the same website.
